With more than one third of its population working in the processing industry, and being a large industrial center in the past, Kula can offer skilled workforce for various industries: textile, leather, food processing, furniture, construction. The number of unemployed is 5.775, while the total labor force amounts to 15.018 people, ready to meet the needs and expectations of most investors. Labor costs are very competitive compared to regional and EU standards – the average gross salary is 470 euros. Hihg schools in the fields of economy, machining, electrical engineering, computers and agriculture are a significant source of educated staff. Around 50 % of local population has a high-school diploma, while 8% has college or university education. The closest and most important university center with 14 faculties is just 56 km away, in the City of Novi Sad.
